The best Threads schedulers in 2026

Quick answer

Typefully is the best Threads scheduler for writers: it publishes text, images and video to Threads on every plan, including a free one, next to X, Bluesky, LinkedIn and Mastodon. Buffer suits anyone who wants a simple free queue for Threads and Instagram. OmniSocials suits small teams that want Threads polls, carousels, long threads and replies in one flat-priced plan.
The best Threads schedulers in 2026 are Typefully, Buffer, OmniSocials, Fedica, Publer, Later, Hootsuite and Postiz. Threads lets you save drafts, but Meta's help center doesn't document a way to schedule a post in Threads itself, so a scheduler is the way to plan Threads posts ahead.

Refract and Threads

Refract isn't ranked here because it can't post to Threads yet. Threads is on Refract's coming-soon list: once it opens, you'll write one note and Refract's AI will write a Threads version next to the versions for your other networks.

Until then, pick one of the tools above for Threads. The Threads page shows what Refract will do there, and you can ask to be told when it opens.

What Threads and Meta Business Suite do themselves

Drafts in Threads. Meta's help center says you can save drafts in the Threads app and on threads.com. A draft stays where you saved it: a web draft is only on threads.com, and an app draft only in the app. Meta's 2024 announcement says you can keep up to 100 drafts.

Scheduling in Threads. In August 2024 Meta announced that scheduling would come to Threads on the web first, as a test. Its help center doesn't document it: the "Start a new thread" article describes posting with no scheduling step, and we found no help article about scheduling. So we can't say whether it is live for you, how far ahead it works, or how to change a scheduled post.

Meta Business Suite. On desktop, Meta Business Suite can cross-post a Facebook post or an Instagram feed post to Threads. Reels, stories and Facebook-only posts can't go to Threads, and the mobile app can't cross-post to Threads. Your Facebook Page, Instagram profile and Threads profile must be in the same business portfolio. Business Suite schedules Facebook and Instagram posts, but its help doesn't say whether the Threads copy waits for the scheduled time.

If you only post to Threads now and then, drafts may be enough. To plan Threads posts ahead at a set time, use a scheduler.

What to check in a Threads scheduler

  • Threads of several posts. Buffer, Fedica, OmniSocials and Postiz say they schedule multi-post threads; OmniSocials allows up to 25 parts. Buffer's free plan allows one.
  • Polls and carousels. OmniSocials lists Threads polls and mixed carousels. Hootsuite says it doesn't support Threads polls.
  • Replies. OmniSocials puts Threads replies and mentions in its inbox.
  • Where you write. Hootsuite publishes to Threads from its web app only.
  • The other networks. Typefully, Fedica and Postiz pair Threads with X, Bluesky and Mastodon. Later pairs it with Instagram and TikTok, but has no X.

How we chose.

We started from schedulers whose own pages say they publish to Threads, and from Meta's own help center for Threads and Meta Business Suite. We ranked them for people and small teams who plan Threads posts ahead, often next to X, Bluesky, Mastodon or Instagram. We weighed four Threads details: whether a tool says it schedules multi-post threads, polls or carousels, whether it has a free plan that includes Threads, whether it handles Threads replies, and which networks it pairs with Threads. Price, team features, an API and an MCP server came next. Every fact comes from the tool's own pricing page, help center or docs, listed under sources, and was checked on November 3, 2026.
Typefully ranks first because it is built for text, publishes text, images, video and GIFs to Threads on every plan including Free, and posts to X, Bluesky, LinkedIn and Mastodon from the same editor. Buffer is second as a simple per-channel queue with a free plan and threaded posts. OmniSocials is third for the most Threads features on its own pages: polls, mixed carousels, threads of up to 25 parts and replies in the inbox, though it has no free plan and no built-in AI writer.
Fedica is fourth, with threads on its free plan and one thread sent to Threads, X, Bluesky and Mastodon, but one user on its cheaper plans. Publer is fifth as the lowest entry price, with Threads among 13 networks. Later is sixth for Instagram-led brands, with Threads analytics but no X. Hootsuite is seventh: it publishes to Threads inside a full suite, from the web app only and with no polls, at a higher per-user price. Postiz is eighth for technical users who want threads and self-hosting.
We left out tools that post to Threads but fit this audience less well, or whose Threads details we couldn't confirm on their own pages. Metricool includes Threads on its free plan. SocialBee publishes to Threads and shows Threads comments and mentions in its inbox. Vista Social, Sprout Social, Agorapulse, Sendible, ContentStudio and Zoho Social are suites or AI-first tools that also publish to Threads. Statuz is out because it doesn't post to Meta's Threads at all. Refract can't post to Threads yet, so it is in the note above, not the list.

Questions and answers.

Can you schedule posts on Threads itself?

Meta's help center doesn't document it. You can save drafts in the Threads app and on threads.com, and in August 2024 Meta announced that web scheduling would begin testing. But its "Start a new thread" help article has no scheduling step, and we found no help article about scheduling. To post at a set time, use a scheduler.

Can Meta Business Suite schedule Threads posts?

Only as a cross-post. On desktop, Business Suite can share a Facebook post or Instagram feed post to Threads, not a stand-alone Threads post, and not reels or stories. Its help doesn't say whether the Threads copy of a scheduled post goes out at the scheduled time.

Is there a free Threads scheduler?

Yes. Typefully, Buffer, Fedica and Publer each have a free plan that includes Threads, with limits on posts or queued posts, and Metricool's free plan includes Threads too. Postiz is free if you self-host it.

Can I schedule a Threads thread with several posts?

Yes, with several tools. Buffer supports threaded posts (one at a time on its free plan), Fedica schedules threads on its free plan, OmniSocials allows threads of up to 25 parts, and Postiz schedules full threads on Threads and X.

Can I schedule Threads polls?

OmniSocials lists Threads polls. Hootsuite says it doesn't support them. The other tools' pages we checked don't say, so test it in a trial or free plan first.

Does Refract schedule Threads posts?

Not yet. Threads is on Refract's coming-soon list. The Threads page shows what it will do and lets you ask to be told when it opens.
