What is the best size for a Pinterest pin?
1000×1500 pixels, a 2:3 vertical image: Pinterest’s own recommendation. When you post through Refract, a pin takes JPEG or PNG images of up to 20 MB, a title of up to 100 characters and a description of up to 800.
Can Pinterest pins be square?
Yes. Pinterest takes 1:1 pins, and carousels use 1:1 or 2:3 images. At the same width, a square pin is shorter in the feed than a 2:3 one.
What happens to long pins?
Pinterest says pins taller than 2:3 might get cut off in people’s feeds, so the bottom of a long pin may not show there. Keep what matters near the top, or crop it to 2:3 above: the tool warns you when your image is taller than that.
What size should a video pin be?
For a video that fills the screen, Pinterest recommends 1080×1920 pixels (9:16); 1:2, 2:3, 3:4, 4:5, 1:1 work too. When you post through Refract, a video pin can be 4 seconds to 15 minutes long and up to 2 GB.
What size are carousel pins?
A carousel has 2 to 5 images, each 1:1 or 2:3. Crop each one above to the same shape, for example 1000×1500 pixels.
